What counts

How keywords and AI questions are counted.

A tracked keyword

One phrase on one device, in the project’s location. Tracking “crm software” on desktop and on mobile counts as 2 keywords. Each is checked in Google every day for the top 30 results, and every 7 days for the top 100.

An AI question and its answers

A question is what a buyer might ask, such as “best CRM for small agencies”. It counts once toward your plan, however many answers it collects. Every week it is asked on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode, 3 times each: 9 answers a week (15 for questions added on Scale), and Bing’s search results are recorded alongside. Top questions also get one answer a day on each engine.

Two numbers decide most paid plans: how many keywords you track on Google and how many questions you monitor in AI assistants.

Tracked keywords
Each keyword you track in a project, for one device. Every one gets its top 30 positions checked daily and its top 100 weekly, on every plan with Google Rank Tracking.
AI questions
Active questions you monitor across projects. Each is asked weekly in ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode; your top questions are also checked daily. Paused questions don’t count.
Research credits
Used for new keyword research, competitor gap and competitor discovery queries. Reopening cached results does not use another credit.
Usage periods
Research credits, Perplexity & Claude answers, and article and listing allowances renew each billing period. Projects, keywords and questions are what you can have active at once.

Is the Complete Suite cheaper than buying both?
Yes. Freelancer includes 500 tracked keywords and 100 AI questions for $99 / month. Covering the same with standalone plans takes Rank Agency and AI Pro, $278 / month together. The Complete Suite also adds one report for rankings and AI answers.
Can I move from one product line to another?
Yes. Start with AI Visibility or Google Rank Tracking and move to the Complete Suite from billing settings when you need both. Your projects, keywords, questions and history stay where they are.
How does the trial work?
Every new account starts with a 14-day trial of Serpify’s advanced features, with trial allowances: up to 3 projects, 100 tracked keywords, 10 AI questions and 30 research credits. Perplexity and Claude answers are not included in the trial; they come with AI Agency, Agency and Scale or the add-on. The trial starts when you create your first workspace, and there is one trial per account.
What happens when my trial or paid plan ends?
Your workspace moves to Free. Search Console and GA4 keep working for your 3 oldest active sites, rank checks, AI answers and scheduled reports pause, and your history is kept. Choose a paid plan any time to pick up where you left off.
Do I need a credit card?
No. Free and the trial need no card. You add payment details only when you choose a paid plan.
What counts as a tracked keyword?
Each keyword you track in a project, for one device. The same phrase tracked on desktop and on mobile counts as two tracked keywords. Every tracked keyword gets its top 30 positions checked daily and its top 100 checked weekly.
What is an AI question?
A question your buyers might ask an AI assistant, such as “best project management tool for agencies”. Active questions count toward your plan; paused questions don’t. Every active question is asked weekly in ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode, with 3 answers on each (5 for questions added on Scale), and Bing’s search results are recorded alongside. Top questions are also checked daily, one answer per engine. New questions become top questions while your plan’s daily allowance lasts, and you can change which ones are.
What are research credits?
Research credits are used for new keyword research, competitor gap and competitor discovery queries, domain lookups in Site Explorer and site audits. Reopening cached results does not use another credit. Credits renew each billing period.
Are users limited?
No. Every plan, Free included, has unlimited users, so you can invite your whole team, and clients with view-only access.
Are reports included?
On Free, you can build reports and PDFs from your Google data whenever you need them. Every paid plan adds branded PDF reports from all your data, weekly or monthly schedules, read-only client links and alerts. Reports and client links carry your agency name, logo and colour.
Are API and MCP included?
Yes, on every paid plan: API access, MCP and signed webhooks.
Which AI engines are included?
Every plan with AI Visibility includes ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode. AI Agency, Agency and Scale also include Perplexity and Claude answers.
Are Perplexity and Claude included?
AI Agency includes 100, Agency includes 100, Scale includes 300 Perplexity and Claude answers per usage period. On any other plan with AI Visibility, you can add 100 answers per usage period for $29 a month.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from billing settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period and does not renew.
Can I change plans?
Yes. You can change plans from billing settings. Changes are handled according to your current billing period.
Do you offer annual billing?
Not currently. Serpify is launching with monthly billing.
Are there usage limits?
Yes. Each paid plan sets the limits in the comparison table: projects, tracked keywords, active AI questions, top questions checked daily and AI Readiness pages per scan, plus research credits and article and listing allowances that renew each billing period. A fair-usage budget also applies to on-demand data and AI requests.
